With Thanksgiving over, it is time to start decorating for Christmas. So, Brian went up into the attic and brought down all of our Christmas decorations. While Kaelyn was at school and Gretchen and Sophie were napping, I managed to get everything out and placed around the house. I got the fireplace mantel decorated and the Christmas tree up, fanned out, and lighted.
After dinner and baths, we started decorating the tree. The girls had a great time decorating the Christmas tree. Gretchen was especially excited. She had the best time placing ornaments exactly where she wanted them.
Our beautiful Christmas tree. I must admit that I have a love-hate relationship with this tree. It is a pre-lit tree and all of the pre-lit lights do not work. So, I have to string lights, which is my least favorite Christmas activity. I do not like our tree until it is fully lighted and decorated, then I think it is beautiful.
You might be wondering where Sophie was during our tree trimming activities. Well, she fell asleep around 7:30 and we put her in bed. So, she missed out on all of the fun. Don't worry . . . next year she will be right in the thick of the action with her sisters!
