A Post for Grandma

A few weeks ago, a lady who we go to church with, Miss Marie, was in the hospital. She was not doing well and she thought that she would not be able to make it to Christmas. She loves our girls -- Kaelyn and Gretchen actually sit with her whenever she is at church -- and she said that she had Christmas gifts for them. She wanted to the girls to have them before Christmas, just in case.

So, we went to see Miss Marie in the hospital and she gave the girls their gifts. She made each of the girls a Christmas stocking complete with their name and year they were born. They are beautiful! I told the girls that these are a really special gift made with lots of love.

I showed them to the grandparents, who all love them, but Grandma North is especially taken with the stockings. So, I am posting pictures so that Grandma North can show them to everyone's favorite Grandma (or maybe it's just me), Grandma Trzynka.

On a positive note, Miss Marie is doing much better and is actually going to be heading home from rehab in the near future. We are so thankful and happy that Miss Marie will be with us for awhile longer. She loves our girls and our girls love her!

So, here are the stockings. They have been hanging on our fireplace for the past few weeks. They really are something special.
