This morning we took the girls to have breakfast with Santa. They had the best time! After feasting on donuts and cereal, the girls got to explore Santa's surroundings.
Rudolph made an appearance. Kaelyn could not wait to pose with him! Gretchen and Sophie kept their distance.
Gretchen did play in the train with Kaelyn. She had the best time peeking out of all of the windows.
After a long wait in a long line, it was finally time to see Santa! Kaelyn was first up and she could not wait to tell Santa what she wanted for Christmas. I was very pleased when Santa told Kaelyn that she needed to help Mommy by cleaning up her room!
We were not sure if Gretchen or Sophie would sit with Santa, so we did not force them to do so. However, once Gretchen saw Kaelyn do it, she had to get in on the action too. By the look on her face you can tell that she immediately had a change of heart and wanted desperately to vacate the situation! Gretchen did not talk to Santa, but she did listen to what he had to say and eventually gave him a little smile.
We placed Sophie on Santa's lap and stayed very close, just in case. All of our worries were for nothing . . . Sophie did great! She was fascinated with Santa's beard and kept trying to pull it off!
This is the second year in a row that we have had Breakfast with Santa. I am sure that we will keep going until the girls no longer want to do so. What a fun Christmas tradition!
