Last night, Geoffrey spent the night and Brian worked the hockey game. So, the kids and I had a little New Year's Eve party. I picked up some pizza at Papa Murphy's and some sparkling apple juice for dinner. I broke out the fancy glasses and the kids thought that was super!
Kaelyn, Geoffrey, and Gretchen were determined to stay up until midnight to watch the ball drop. I thought for sure that they would be asleep far before midnight . . . especially Gretchen, but they proved me wrong!
Sophie did not make it to midnight. She made it to a little after nine and then crashed -- hard. She did not stir until morning even with all of the noise that the kids made at midnight!
The minute the ball dropped, the kids and I grabbed our pots and spoons and went outside to make some noise to ring in the New Year. We banged pots and yelled "Happy New Year" for every one to hear. I am sure that our neighbors really appreciated our enthusiasm!
Happy New Year from our family to yours!
