It's that time again . . . time to set some goals for the New Year. I figure if I actually write my resolutions down in a place where other people will read them, I will be more motivated to actually fulfill them.
So, here goes . . .
So, here goes . . .
- Once again, I want to read at least 50 books by the end of 2012. With book club, I am guaranteed at least 12 books, so I am only really responsible for 48 books.
- This year I would really like to start a play group for Gretchen and Sophie. I have several friends who stay home and who have kids the same age as the little girls. It would be fun to meet up once or twice a month, let the kids play and engage in some adult conversation.
- I want to continue to practice patience with the girls. I did pretty well last year practicing patience and not raising my voice. I found it much easier to discipline with a soft voice rather than yelling and screaming like a lunatic. I really want to perfect this technique this year.
- I really want to spend more fun time with the kids. It seems that whenever they are playing and having fun, I am working to get the laundry done, or doing the dishes, or trying to keep the house clean. I am hoping that I will be able to schedule the housework around having fun with the girls.
- Finally, I would really like to begin losing weight. I have gained 70 pounds from the time I had Kaelyn until today. I would really like to start working out and taking off some of the "baby weight". The trick is to find the motivation (and keep it) to work out on a consistent basis.
There you have it. I tried to keep my resolutions simple so that they are achievable. Here's hoping I can reach at least some of my new goals!
